MJ2 Marketing seeks an experienced, result-driven, and highly motivated Paid Ads Specialist to join our fast-paced, collaborative digital marketing agency.

The Paid Ads Specialist will bring a proven understanding of how to plan, develop, execute, and optimize Google Ads campaigns across various industries, translating business objectives into measurable results.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute full-funnel Google Ads campaigns across platforms (Search, Display, Video, Performance Max).
- Conduct keyword research, audience targeting, and competitor analysis.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance and KPIs using tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads Manager, and Looker Studio.
- Write and optimize ad copy and collaborate with designers to align creative assets with campaign goals.
- Manage budgets effectively, maximizing return on ad spend.
- Regularly A/B test headlines, visuals, and calls-to-action.
- Communicate performance insights and strategic recommendations with Account Managers and client stakeholders.
- Stay current with trends and platform updates to keep MJ2 on the leading edge of digital advertising.
- (Bonus) Plan and execute campaigns on Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram).
- (Bonus) Experience and understanding of SEO best practices, particular how it works in relation with paid ads.
Your Impact
- Improve CTR and Quality Scores within your first 3 months.
- Decrease CPA and increase conversion rates within the first 6 months.
- Deliver strong ROAS for a variety of client campaigns across industries.
- Help scale MJ2’s growing performance marketing offering as a key team member in our digital optimization portfolio.
Skills + Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Google Ads, ideally in a digital agency setting.
- Strong grasp of campaign planning, optimization, and budget management.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and ad tracking tools.
- (Preferred) Experience with Meta Ads Manager.
- Proven success in managing multiple accounts across varied verticals.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
- Google Ads Certification (a plus).

The Role
We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on SEO & Digital Performance Manager to lead and grow our SEO program. This is a hybrid role requiring equal parts strategic leadership and tactical execution. You’ll work closely with account teams, developers, content creators, and paid media specialists to ensure our clients’ websites and content are fully optimized for search visibility and digital performance.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves both the art and science of SEO—who can think big-picture, manage junior team members and vendors, but still get in the trenches with audits, keyword research, analytics, and reporting. Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Management
- Own and evolve MJ2’s SEO service offerings and delivery model.
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies for client accounts across industries.
- Manage internal team members and external vendors executing SEO deliverables.
- Collaborate with content and design teams to ensure best-in-class on-page SEO implementation.
- Lead keyword research, site audits, backlink strategies, and technical optimization.
Execution
- Execute hands-on SEO tasks: metadata writing, schema markup, redirects, internal linking, etc.
- Run monthly technical audits using SEMRush, Google Search Console, Lighthouse, and other tools.
- Track, analyze, and report on SEO performance in GA4 and client dashboards.
- Maintain and improve performance across top keywords and identify growth opportunities.
- Guide SEO implementations during website redesigns, migrations, and landing page development.
- Assist with content strategy aligned with SEO goals (pillar pages, blog optimization, etc.).
AI & Analytics
- Use AI tools responsibly for keyword clustering, competitive insights, and content ideation.
- Stay on the forefront of SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and AI innovations impacting search.
- Contribute to internal AI knowledge and training efforts in line with MJ2’s AI Use Policy.
Paid Search & Analytics (Preferred)
- Assist with or provide backup on Google Ads campaigns and keyword planning.
- Understand how organic and paid search work together to drive business results.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of SEO experience (agency setting preferred).
- Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Tag Manager, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and WordPress CMS (PHP and JS a plus).
- Google Ads experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and SEO reporting.
- Ability to manage timelines, prioritize work, and drive projects forward independently.
- Curious, strategic thinker who thrives in a high-expectation, fast-moving environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Digital Graphic Designer (Part-Time)
The Digital Graphic Designer will be responsible for producing on-brand visual assets for use in all marketing materials for both client and MJ2 Marketing projects. They will participate in all design meetings and have the skills to find the most effective way to communicate concepts using a variety of visual methods such as color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and page layout. Designed content will include digital ads, email, social, motion graphics and other key channels.
The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years experience in a fast-paced, design-forward environment- ideally with brand, content or digital marketing teams. This is the perfect position for an experienced digital design expert who perhaps has had a lag in career options due to downsizing from big corporate job or ready to re-enter the workforce after staying at home. Our environment is flexible and fun and allows for the perfect balance between work and home.
Job and Application Requirements:
- A portfolio that highlights digital-first graphic design, supported by motion and campaign work
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and proficiency in Figma, HTML5
- A keen eye for visual hierarchy, typography, layout, and design systems—and the ability to apply them across formats and platforms
- Experience optimizing creative for digital performance (file size, specs, accessibility, load time)
- Design with purpose—delivering cohesive, brand-right layouts and assets
- Create motion assets (GIFs, animations, overlays) to support and elevate storytelling
- Edit short-form video content to extend static design work and bring ideas to life across digital platforms
- Collaborate closely with creative and marketing teams to shape ideas and deliver high-impact work
General Knowledge and Concepts
- Confidence to develop exceptional designs while staying on strategy
- Must be proficient in using Adobe Suite applications including, but not limited to, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more as needed
- Experience with web design a plus but not necessary
- Good writing skills
- Ability to present and defend work with solid rationale
- Ability to work autonomously and follow through on projects from start to finish
