The client.

Marilyn Vutech and Jeff Ruff have been partners since 1993 and the Vutech | Ruff team includes fourteen licensed agents who specialize in all areas of real estate, including buying, selling, investing, and relocation to Central Ohio. While serving the region for over three decades and consistently one of the highest-producing teams within the Columbus Board of Realtors, Vutech | Ruff did not do a good job of telling their story. “We are really good at what we do, but we are really bad at letting people know.”  

The opportunity.

Thanks to the referral of a former client of MJ2 Marketing, the Vutech | Ruff leadership team reached out when they decided it was time for an updated and enhanced digital presence. The goals of the team included a more proactive approach to sharing their story with the broader Central Ohio market as well as establishing themselves as experts in the local real estate industry.  

The MJ2 team began with a Discovery process to help us understand the brand, its audience, and its goals. Once the initial research was completed, the team collaborated with the Vutech | Ruff team to develop a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that combined storytelling with inbound marketing to create useful content and experiences that would resonate with its audience. 

The outcome.

MJ2 Marketing refreshed the messaging and imagery that Vutech | Ruff used to represent their brand, as well as developed their voice as both a leader in the Central Ohio real estate industry and friend and guide to their clients on their homebuying journey.  

The comprehensive strategy included the creation of multiple content pieces each month, developing vibrant social communities on Facebook and Instagram, and an email newsletter that their agents could share.  In addition, the DigitalMaxx team significantly improved the performance of the website and updated the navigation to make it more user-friendly. The full strategy was then ‘amped up’ with a paid ads strategy to drive conversions for the team.
