The Client

PDS Planning is a fixed fee-only advisor in Columbus, Ohio, with a unique service offering in a saturated financial services market. While they had strong marketing practices in place, they were lacking an overall structure and strategy for their efforts, consistent social media marketing, and an elevated brand aesthetic. They did have an established email marketing plan in place, however, it needed a refreshed look that more closely represented their elevated brand and service offerings.

The Opportunity

Building on the strengths that PDS Planning brought to the table, the MJ2 Marketing team worked to design an overall digital marketing strategy that targeted segments of the PDS audience, including current clients, prospects, and centers of influence (COIs). Our strategy team developed a content blueprint to help organize messaging in a more proactive way while our design team updated and refreshed their creative design for a more elevated look. In addition to focusing on a more strategic and targeted email marketing campaign, we updated and began managing the PDS Planning corporate LinkedIn page and curated content on its Facebook page.

The Outcome 

The results were immediate. PDS Planning developed a consistent monthly email cadence, with emails targeted at specific segments of their audience.

The elevated creative design was incorporated into all aspects of the program, from email marketing campaigns to social media and blog post headers and body content. The consistent, thumb-stopping creative represented the high-quality and approachable services offered by the PDS team.

From an increase in followers and engagement on LinkedIn and Facebook to robust open rates for their email campaigns, the PDS Planning team began to see results from the campaign almost immediately. With regular and more strategic content and they became more relatable by showcasing the people of the brand and establishing themselves as thought leaders in the financial services world.
