Catholic Diocese of Columbus, Office of Vocations

Face Forward Flagship Project

The client.

The Office of Vocations in the Catholic Diocese of Columbus has a responsibility to connect where people are gathering. In 2008, they turned to MJ2 to find new ways to connect with the youth in the community to inform, engage and educate them on the possibilities of religious life.

The opportunity.

The Catholic Diocese of Columbus recognized the need to provide those interested or contemplating religious life with a variety of opportunities to learn and explore various vocations. The goal of the Diocese was to increase the number of those interested in pursuing a life of vocations. This program, started back when Facebook was a single lane feed, was unprecedented back in the time, as the Diocese pioneered the way to create a new “digital town square” for those pursuing their vocation.

The outcome.

In 2008, MJ2 created Face Forward a custom Facebook interactive application, along with the Face Forward logo, t-shirts and various promotional materials to increase brand awareness. Today, the Office of Vocations is engaged with the youth of Columbus and outlying areas, and their parents, through a captivating blog, an email marketing campaign and a variety of contests and promotions such as the Service Awards. The email database continues to grow along with Facebook followers, and additional social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and Pinterest have had a staggering increase year over year. Our team continues to provide strategy, counsel, email marketing, event promotion and coverage, custom infographics, blog and content writing, website updates, and more.
