Meet Giulia Blake, Graphic Designer

Long before I officially became a graphic designer, I was a kid whose life was consumed by her imagination and desire to create. I was constantly telling stories, drawing, building, painting, making, and writing. My parents like to specifically remind me of the days I spent at our kitchen table repeatedly writing out the alphabet in the many “typefaces” I’d created.

When I discovered design as a career path, it felt like the culmination of everything I’d been looking for. Creativity has always been a part of how I navigated and processed the world, but design gave me a direction. It requires purpose, meaning, strategy, and intention–values I hold closely in my own life. That clarity pushed me to study at The Ohio State University, where I obtained my B.S. in Visual Communication Design in 2024. Here I developed and refined my skills in typography, brand identity design, color theory, UX/UI, and more.

My interest in design is strongly fueled by my love for exploration and travel. Visiting many different places around the world has exposed me to diverse design styles, visual languages, methods of communication, art, and architecture. If I’m not designing, I’m definitely planning my next adventure.

I’m very excited to be part of the MJ2 team and to continue to grow as a designer and individual alongside such kind and talented individuals.
