The MJ2 team recently attended Interact19 at The Ohio State University. Interact Ohio is one of our favorite events each year, as it provides a great opportunity for networking, workshops, and some great seminars. Below are a few of our highlights from this year.
“Be Mighty” was the lesson from the Morning Keynote presented by John Fimiani. John is a Partner and Brand & Strategy Director of Upward brand interactions, a full-service digital-first marketing agency that delivers brand-building services in the B2B, Healthcare, Education, Destination Community and Consumer industries.
Andy Crestodina presented on “The 1% Content Strategy: Combining the top SEO and lead gen tactics to statistically beat 99% of content programs,” as a Keynote speaker. Crestodina is a self-proclaimed “evangelical for content marketing and ethical digital marketing.” He is the author of Content Chemistry, which is in its fifth edition, and is the founder of Content Jam, Chicago’s largest content marketing conference.
Matt Hertig CEO and Co-Founder at Alight Analytics, led a small-group workshop on “How to Build a Measurement, Reporting and Data Strategy,” as well as leading a breakout session during the conference on “Why Marketing Analytics Fail (and How To Do it Right). At Alight Analytics, Hertig and his team developed ChannelMix, the first data management platform designed for marketing. He is a nationally recognized thought leader in marketing analytics. He regularly delivers engaging, thought-provoking talks to standing-room-only audiences.
April Dunford presented the Lunch Keynote on “Product and Market Positioning: Using Context to Stand Out in Noisy Markets”. Dunford is positioning consultant, entrepreneur, board member, angel investor and advisor, with a focus on large and small B2B tech companies. She seeks to teach a new methodology on positioning products to marketers, entrepreneurs and sales teams so that customers can find them.
“It’s Time to Think Differently About Mobile,” says Stephanie Cox of Lumavate. Lumavate was in the mobile space before Progressive Web Apps even had a name, and they are now the leading platform for delivering PWAs, and partnering with customers to deliver incredible results.
Presenting on “Five Hot Digital Marketing Trends and How They Impact You,” Pam Didner is a marketing consultant who focuses on creating successful global marketing plans that meet local and sales team’s needs. She is the author of Global Content Marketing and Effective Sales Enablement, and highly acclaimed speaker who has participated in Content Marketing World every year since its inception.
The Closing Keynote was presented by Andrew + Pete who are a content marketing duo who host the “Marketing Unboringed” YouTube show, manage the small business membership site ATOMIC, and authors of The Hippos Campus and Content Mavericks.
