Dublin Is Home: Team MJ2 Attends the 2018 Dublin State of the Community

Dublin State of the Community

On March 8th, our team attended the 2018 Dublin State of the Community, where we mixed and mingled with friends, colleagues, and clients at Exchange in Bridge Park. As longtime Dublin residents and a local Dublin business, we are involved and interested in Dublin City Schools and the community. Additionally, we got to cover the event on behalf of our new partner, the Dublin Community Foundation.

This year, Dublin City Manager Dana McDaniel and Dublin City Schools Superintendent Dr. Todd Hoadley highlighted several City/School partnerships and current and future programs that are creating the right environment for residents, students, teachers and businesses to thrive.

“When our residents, government leaders, schools and businesses share ideas, resources and effort, incredible things can happen,” said McDaniel.
A few important takeaways included:

  • Technology in the classroom as a result of the 100-Gig Dublink fiber and the Bridge Street District Development Agreement
  • The future Emerald Campus
  • An update on the new Dublin Branch Library
  • The pedestrian and bicycle bridge connecting commercial, residential and retail destinations
  • The Bridge Street District, adding 20+ new businesses including restaurants, retail, a new hotel and a premier event center

McDaniel released a few results from the 2018 National Citizen Survey – which revealed that 99% of Dublin residents surveyed rated the City as an excellent or good place to live. We agree!
He also shared impressive awards the City has received, including:

  • The Best Suburb for Business (Columbus CEO Magazine)
  • #6 Best Place to Live in America (Niche.com)
  • Best Suburban Arts Festival – Dublin Irish Fest (City Scene)
  • Safest City in Ohio

We are proud to be apart of this amazing community and to experience the #DublinDifference.
Here’s a quick video highlight from the event as we covered the Dublin Community Foundation.
