Each year, Pantone reveals its highly anticipated Color of the Year, which they call “a symbolic color selection” that is expressive of our current global culture. Enter Greenery- “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew.” Last year, the title was awarded to a combination of the colors Rose Quartz and Serenity.
Have you noticed a lot of Greenery in the world around you? At MJ2, we’ve been using many shades of green in our design work. Green has been the inspiration behind our work on the Seniority Benefits Group new website, design for the City of Dublin (naturally), creative work for Legacy Maintenance Services’ brochure and in our very own MJ2 logo.
Many business utilize green in their marketing and branding. Why? Green is often associated with nature, health, tranquility and growth. In a study called the Impact of Color On Marketing, researchers found that colors may be used to enhance mood, calm customers and increase or decrease appetite. Additionally, green has been linked to increased creativity and productivity when present in the workplace.
This year, don’t be surprised if your world is suddenly infused with green. See how you like it and let us know how it impacts you. And without further ado, here is Greenery!
