The City of Dublin is home to more than 40,000 residents and was recently ranked by National Citizen Survey as the best place to live. MJ2 is a testament to that as we have proudly called Dublin home to our business for the past eight years. When we were asked to assist in spreading the word about the trendy, Open For Biz shops and stores that we call our neighbors, we were quick to jump in and help.
The Challenge
The City of Dublin approached MJ2 Marketing at the start of the holiday shopping season for direction and strategy on how best to help area small businesses
The MJ2 Effect
MJ2 Marketing took the challenge head-on to create a complete media toolkit to distribute to all local Dublin businesses within the three quadrants. This toolkit would work in coordination with custom images and videos shot at each store.
Dublin, Ohio – Open For Business – Winan’s Fine Chocolates and Coffees from Dublin, Ohio, USA on Vimeo.
Within just one week, our team compiled a thorough strategy explaining the goal of the campaign, trusted sources to share from, custom hashtags to enter a greater conversation and strategy guidance to people of all levels of social media experience.
Our social media team then compiled 12 messages that businesses can distribute on any platform – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. These messages were crafted in a way that promoted the ease of travel to and from Dublin, the local promotions and discounts and the spirit of the holidays. We then took it one step further by creating specialized messages to be shared in three phases: Small Business Saturday, the Official Tree Lighting Ceremony and the remaining sale weekends in December. These messages targeted the specific events in Dublin that attract people from all over Central Ohio.
Our design team truly brought the campaign to life by creating custom cover photos and 20 high-quality images for both residents and business owners in Dublin to share on all of their platforms.
The Feedback
Feedback is great, and #OpenForBiz is happening now, in Dublin!
