MJ2 To Judge DECA Conference This Friday

Megan James from MJ2 will be on-hand this Friday to judge the entrepreneurial section of the 68th annual Ohio DECA Career Development Conference held at the Hyatt Regency. The Ohio DECA Career Development Conference will give members from the 13 districts throughout the state the opportunity to compete with over 1,700 Ohio DECA members to obtain their destiny in representing Ohio DECA in Salt Lake City, Utah at the finals.
While in attendance at the Ohio DECA, student members and advisors will also have the opportunity to meet and network with each other from around the state, and have multiple opportunities to interact and network with important and influential business and industry professionals and corporate partners to further their opportunities with marketing education and the business world.
About DECA:
DECA is an organization for students enrolled in Marketing Education. It is designed to promote a total program of activities which develops leadership, teamwork skills and individual growth. DECA is the only national student organization operating in the nation’s schools to attract young people to careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, management, and entrepreneurship.
DECA offers Marketing Education students the opportunities that a civic or professional organization would offer a businessperson. Activities develop leadership ability, occupational skills, civic responsibility, and the social skills of the individual. DECA activities serve as a teaching tool, complimenting, supplementing, and enhancing the marketing education curriculum.
Megan looks forward to representing central Ohio as a judge in the entrepreneurial area, receiving several presentations throughout the course of the day form students with a passion for management and entrepreneurship.  Good luck to all the DECA members- this is a wonderful organization!
