When I was younger, my dream was to be a famous novelist. If I wasn’t at school or playing with friends, I was indoors typing my heart out on the family computer, dreaming up characters and plotlines. And while I’m not on any bestseller lists (yet), I consider myself very lucky to be able to integrate my passion for writing into my everyday life.
I joined the MJ2 Marketing family in 2014 as an intern, marking my first *real* experience in the marketing world. Now, a decade later, I couldn’t be more excited to rejoin the team as a Content Strategist and Account Manager.
After completing my internship, I graduated with a B.A. in Strategic Communications from Ohio State in 2017. Following that, I worked for the next six years in both B2B2C and B2B environments, where I developed my copywriting, social media marketing, and account management skills.
Outside of work, the last decade of my life hasn’t been short of any excitement either. I met the love of my life, Patrick, and married him in June of 2021. Since then, we’ve expanded our family to include two cats – Donnie and Wanda – and a German Shepherd named Reggie.
Q&A with Ryann
What is your favorite thing about working at MJ2?
I really love that MJ2 caters to a range of clients with diverse needs, as it ensures no day is the same here.
What are you currently reading?
I just started First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston – an author I haven’t read before (but have heard great things about!)
What is your favorite restaurant in Columbus?
I’m a sucker for a great brunch and will never turn down a trip to The Walrus or DK Diner. However, my all-time favorite Columbus dining experiences have been at Aubergine Private Dining Club in Grandview.
What is your favorite relaxing activity?
Depending on the weather, I really enjoy a nice long SOLO walk (without the dog). Though, if the weather isn’t up to par, I do love cuddling up to said dog with a good book.
How do you take your coffee?
With a small splash of almond or oat milk. And if I’m feeling fancy, I’ll even steam the milk first.
