Plus, St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin IS BACK!
Recognized as a must-visit Irish pub in the United States by USA Today and Travel + Leisure, the Dublin Village Tavern is a local neighborhood gem. It’s truly where locals gather and visitors are always welcome.
Because it is right down the street from MJ2 Marketing in Historic Dublin, it’s safe to say that DVT is a fan favorite of everyone in our office, too! That made it all the more exciting when the owner, Tim Picciano, approached MJ2 about redoing the restaurant’s website shortly after we completed a new website for its sister restaurant, Liberty Tavern Powell.
Similar to the Liberty Tavern website, the new DVT website will include features that help the staff provide timely and accurate information and updates for its customers. In addition to simply ensuring a current menu is available online, the new website will feature plenty of images of the delicious food and drinks and the team members that make DVT a community treasure.
In addition to its menu offerings, DVT offers a glimpse into history along with its lunch and dinner menus. The building is estimated to have been built in 1889 and was owned by Newton and Anna Dominy who lived there and operated a hardware store out of the front building. Newton then became Dublin’s Postmaster and this building was one of Dublin’s earliest Post Offices.
Restoration of the building that is now home to DVT began in 1998. As part of the recovery process, issues of the Cleveland Times from the 1930s were found as part of the insulation, which yielded fascinating articles about “Professor” Einstein’s new theory and the invention of the starter for the automobile!
So, yeah, it is safe to say that we are pretty excited to play a small part in helping one of our favorite Dublin establishments to refresh its digital presence to match the charming warmth captured within its four walls.
With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, there is no better time to embrace the Irish heritage of our community and join in all of the fun that is returning this year after a two-year hiatus.
