Spring has sprung—and April is Earth Month, so we thought it would be a perfect time to explore the best parks in Dublin, Ohio. There are 60 local parks and over 100 miles of recreation paths in Dublin, so if you’re itching for an adventure, the options are endless.
Here’s a list of our favorite local parks:
Hayden Falls Park
Located on the West side of the Scioto River, this two-acre park features an incredible 35-foot waterfall that attracts visitors from all around Ohio. We recommend packing up a picnic and taking an afternoon to enjoy the falls!
Thaddeus Kosciuszko Park
The name is a little bit of a mouthful, but most people don’t know that it was actually named after General Kosciuszko, who was an officer in the Revolutionary War. We love this park because of the beautiful walking paths through the rain gardens. With over 40-acres, there are plenty of tall trees, including maples and oaks.
Scioto Park
One of the most popular parks in Dublin, locals often call it Leatherlips Park. This 14-acre park has great views of the Scioto River and is the perfect spot for a quiet stroll on a sunny spring day. This is also the go-to sledding hill for snow days.
Avery Park
Feeling like being active? Head over to Avery Park—a staple sports park in Dublin. Besides the awesome 10-foot soccer ball sculptures, this park has soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and volleyball courts. It is also home to Dublin Youth Athletics. Gather up some friends and work on your bump-set-spike!
Indian Run Falls Park
You don’t want to miss out on this hidden gem. Indian Run features a beautiful gorge and many waterfalls, along with nature trails and observation decks. It’s a great spot to get a break from the sun and enjoy some shade. Be sure to stroll by the Veteran’s memorial situated just south of the park.
Sam & Eulalia Frantz Park
Also known as the “Field of Corn,” no Dublin, Ohio parks list would be complete without this classic. There is a total of 109 concrete ears of corn that stand eight feet tall, each slightly different form the other. Check out this landmark and snap an Instagram-worthy picture with the corn. #SoDublin
