Add a LinkedIn Background Photo

Did you know LinkedIn also has the option to add a cover photo? Add some personality to your profile by uploading your own LinkedIn background photo. Remember, LinkedIn is a professional social network, so choose your photo accordingly.

To add a background photo to your profile, click Profile >> Edit Profile in LinkedIn’s top navigation, then click Add a background photo at the top of your page (or modify an existing background photo by hovering over it and clicking Edit Background).

For best results, your photo should have a resolution of 1400 x 425 pixels.
