The 14th annual Stefanie’s Champions Awards Luncheon, honoring extraordinary heroes in the lives of cancer patients, was held April 10, 2013. Our very own Megan James was on hand to lend her support to the foundation that is very close to her heart.
Friends with Stephanie since their Delta Gamma days at The Ohio State University, Megan has volunteered for the luncheon each year since it was established in 2000 to recognize one of the most critical factors in surviving cancer: loving, unwavering support.
 
Megan is honored to know this year’s Champion of Hope, Shannon Peterson. Shannon has made it her mission to raise enough money for cancer research so that one day everyone will be able to live in a cancer-free world. Actively involved in the Spielman Fund, Shannon is also founder of the Stefanie’s Team of Hope peloton. She has led a charge that has raised more than $830,000 for cancer research to date, earning the group the #1 Grassroots Fundraising Peloton in all three years they have ridden.
